BASF BEST Awards 2018 Call for Entry Request 

Thank you for your interest in being the BEST. The Florida's BEST Awards is a celebration that draws professionals from leading industries such as developers, contractors, architects, interior designers, landscape architects, marketing specialists, mortgage & real estate brokers, etc. Your entry will be judged by top industry professionals.

INSTRUCTIONS TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY 

• Click the "Enter Now" button
• Complete your information
• Remember, you can submit an entry and then add on additional categories.  For instance, you may enter your building for a Best Overall award but then add on the kitchen or bathroom to be considered for a separate award.
• Being a member pays!  If you are not a member of the BASF and are submitting entries, your savings can cover most or all of your membership fee since members have a discounted entry fee.
• Once you enter, you will receive a confirmation and a follow up email requesting any addition items needed to complete your entry.  Instructions on sending things like floor plans and photos will be sent to you once your entry is received.  If you are submitting an entry for Industry Achievement a questionnaire will be sent to you for completion.
• Entries are considered a commitment to compete.
• Entry fees are non-refundable.

Rules for Product & Marketing 

• All submissions must be tied to products for sale, for rent, being remodeled or rehabilitated between January 1, 2016 and February 28, 2018.
• Projects and products previously submitted for a BEST Award in 2016 may not enter the same category if they received any level of award for their entry. This does not apply to Personal Achievement categories. 
• All entries must be located within the State of Florida. Entries for International real estate projects may be entered in the International category. If the design was done in the State of Florida.
• Price ranges should be effective February 28, 2018 or the last selling of the product or model at sell out.
• On-site judging is for entries from Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties.
• Online judging is for entries outside the four-county area. However, if an entry is no longer available for on-site judging it will be judged online.
• Pre-construction products will also be judged online. Pre-construction products are eligible if a Sales Center is currently selling the model or if construction has begun on the residence or commercial product. Products judged on-site will compete with products in the same category submitted for out of area online judging.
• International products that are produced or planned in the State of Florida, and entered by a Florida firm may compete. International products will be judged online.
• Entry fees must be paid before supporting materials are submitted.
• All entry materials shall become the property of the South Florida’s Best Program.

REQUIRED FILES TO BE SUBMITTED 

• Floorplan(s) including all levels. (combine into a single pdf)
• Illustrative Site Plan - provide photos or drawings showing all improvements. (combine into a single pdf)
• Elevation(s) (combine into a single pdf)
• Graphics - provide a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 photos that are representative of your entry.
• Provide any other files you feel will best showcase your project. (combine into a single pdf)

Instructions to submit this documentation will be sent to you once you submit your registration and payment. All materials submitted become the property of BASF. 

Rules for Personal Achievement - No Cost Nominations Being Accepted! 

• A questionnaire will be sent to you once your registration is complete.
• The Questionnaire should be answered to the best of your knowledge. Questions that do not pertain to your industry may be marked N/A.
• Questions which apply to you that are left unanswered may affect judging.
• All required documentation must be submitted for entry to be considered.
• An entrant may not enter more than one Personal Achievement category per year.
• An entrant must be employed full time within the real estate industry and derive his/her income from the sale of new or resale homes.
• An entrant’s achievements must be based on results from January 1, 2016 to present.
• An entrant’s past experiences with builders and communities may be used to strengthen the merits of the entry.
• Entrants will be invited to attend a personal interview with judges.

Judging Information 

• Judging will take place March 15 through the 16th 2018.
• Judges from outside the area will form teams composed of experts in varying fields in the real estate industry will visit and evaluate all On-site entries.  Advance notification will be given as to the day and approximate time (morning or afternoon) that the judges will visit Custom on-site entries.
• Off-site and Pre-construction entries will be evaluated by online.
• Builders Overall Products evaluates the overall excellence of the entry including architecture, interior design, construction quality, value, creativity, etc.

ENTRY DEADLINE IS AUGUST 24TH
