In honor of
National Hispanic Heritage Month,
Working Women's Wednesday
welcomes our September Speaker:
Ricky Hurtado
Ricky Hurtado grew up in rural North Carolina, the son of working-class immigrants and a product of public schools. Ricky was the first person in his family to attend college, graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar. During his graduate studies at Princeton University, Ricky focused on how to create effective public policy to fight poverty and inequality and build strong, vibrant communities. As a former educator and non-profit director, Ricky continues to help North Carolina students break down barriers to educational opportunity.
Our Topic is Hispanic Heritage Month, “Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation”. Join us as we get to know our Hispanic Neighbors.
