Listed below are our 2019 Summer Camps for the week of June 10 - 14:

MINI MASTERS' CAMPS  Ages 3 to 5 

Morning Camp   
Handmade & Wheelturned    9am until 12noon         

It’s handmade all the way in this unique multifaceted camp! Campers will work with a variety of hands-on art activities including the following: clay, wheel throwing, handbuilding & more! Participants will hand build work using coil, slab, and molding ceramic techniques, as well as spend time working on the wheel. Participants will create a unique sculpture using a variety of materials. Time permitting, campers will explore mixed media as well.

Ages: 3 to 5 (must be potty trained)     
Cost:  $85 for emerge members, $125 for non-members

EMERGING ARTIST CAMPS   Grades K - 5

Morning Camp
Rock Out - Create, Film & Star in a Group Music Video  9am until 12noon

Back by popular demand! It’s time to ROCK OUT here at Emerge! Participants will create every aspect of their very own music video. Children will create their costumes, construct backdrops, sets, and more! Participants will also act as directors as they arrange these musical masterpieces. A mix of filmmaking, music, and theatre! Monday thru Wednesday will be used to work on choreography and props. Thursday and Friday will be used to film their videos. Time willing, participants will create artwork to accompany their videos including rock star posters, video covers, and more! All participants will receive a copy of their film within two weeks of camp.

Afternoon Camp
Photo-tastic    1pm until 4pm 

Campers will learn basics of photography in this fast paced fun camp. Participants will experience photography in a whole new way through alternative photography including cyanotype t-shirts, mixed media utilizing photography by assembling multiple images and materials. Campers will learn photography processes, some with, and some without cameras. No special equipemnt is needed for this camp. Emerge will supply point-and-shoot cameras for projects that require them.

All Day Camp
Emerging Artists' Camp 
9am until 4pm 

Sign up your child for both the morning camp, “Rock Out” and the afternoon camp “Photo-tastic,” with this all day option. Lunch bunch is included in all day camp packages. Please be sure to pack a bagged lunch for your child.

ADVANCED ART CAMPS  Grade 6 & up

Morning Camp
Small Sculptures: Metal Design   9am until 12noon

This camp is Metal Design 101 for those students interested in making small-scale metal sculptures. Participants will design and create one-of-a-kind sculptures using metal design techniques soldering and cold connections.
