July Meeting

Join us for the July meeting of the Freeport Networking Group  on Monday, July 13th, 6-8 p.m. at the Freeport Memorial Library.

Mark Milch, owner of Milch Photography, has both credentials and a unique talent in producing award winning images. Through the eyes of his client’s, Mark has proven over and over that patience is a virtue in the field of photography. Although Mark prides himself with an expertise in sensitive Bar Mitzvah and Wedding portraits, his spontaneous candid photographs capture the true essence of emotion. Mark has a reputation of being thorough when covering an event, yet not obtrusive !  He is a true artist that takes pride in his craft, yet is gentle and treats people with kindness and respect; a rare combination.

As a photographer who has delighted in photographing special children, many with disabilities that would be challenging to the average photographer, Mark has developed understanding beyond the scope of documentation. His photos depict personality and originality, yet they always reveal the true personality of the subject. By developing a love for people mixed with unending patience, Mark is truly in a class of his own. 

Photographing special events has been a 20 year journey of love. In addition, Mark has found the time to join and maintain a professional status in the photographic industry. As a member of PPA, one has the opportunity to study with the very best photographers in the country. He is currently serving as an officer with PPGNY, a New York based affiliate of a professional organization of photographers currently known as the most competitive and best in the country. In addition, he is a member of PPSNYS, the New York State Organization. These organizations offer the best education in terms of betterment of skill and professionalism. Mark has obtained his degree of Certified Photographer from The Professional Photographer’s of America. Certification requires that the photographer submits a portfolio of his work, from a single event, to a panel of distinguished judges. Additional requirements are personal and credit references, as well as achieve a high score on an extensive written exam. Mark has won many awards and ribbons for his work. He is a recipient of the prestigious Alvin L. Friedman award, as well as best in shows for his prints.

In examining the work of a photographer, you must examine their virtues. Your special event is seen through the eyes of a sensitive yet experienced professional.

The Freeport Networking Group is a no fee, open membership networking group designed to bring people together to help grow business.  We will be meeting on the second Monday of each month at the Freeport Memorial Library from 6 PM to 8 PM.
