September Meeting

Our September 12, 2016 meeting of the Freeport Networking Group will feature Elinor Matthews and Clare Bunch of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation.  Elinor Matthews and Claire Bunch have been best friends for 10+ years.  They first met at Chase Bank.  Elinor was in the mortgage industry for many years but came to Chase to "hide" for a while when she realized the market was about to crash.  Claire was in management with Chase Bank for many years.   Fast forward to early 2015, when Claire and Elinor both found themselves in the same situation and decided to join forces, get their mortgage licenses and hit the ground running.  Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp recruited them in early December and they joined in a heartbeat after hearing, seeing and learning of this great company, Fairway Mortgage. Fairway specializes in residential mortgages, writing directly to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  This direct connection allows them to close a loan in 30 days or less!  Usually less.  Elinor and Claire are also certified in Home Equity Conversion Mortgages, better known as Reverse Mortgages.  Reverse Mortgages are products that have come a long way from the dark days of inception.  Reverse Mortgages are now considered a financial planning tool that EVERYONE should evaluate in their retirement planning, by adding a powerful third solution alongside one's income and retirement portfolio.
