Meet the Speakers

GwenMigita Gwen Migita
Senior Principle, ESG, Point B

 

As a Senior Principal in Point B’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Practice, Gwen advises executive leaders on the risks and opportunities associated with ESG performance. Her leadership role also involves enhancing connections between Point B’s client-facing ESG Practice and internal Social Responsibility and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Her work seeks to deepen purpose and belonging among Point B’s 800+ employee owners and accelerate action by corporate, nonprofit and public sector customers to improve life on the planet.

Gwen joined Point B from Caesars Entertainment where she led Sustainability, Diversity, Equity andInclusion and ESG for its global enterprise gaming, hotel, live entertainment, conventions, food and beverage, retail, and development and businesses partnerships.

Gwen is an industry leader in assessing macro trends and issues that may affect business anddevelopment goals. She is on the forefront of utilizing intersectional strategies to show that strong ESG programs deliver purpose and a positive financial outcome. Her work involves human rights, social and economic equity, investor research issues and outcomes impact based on corporate and environmental responsibility strategy.

As a former market research consultant in the Pacific Rim and U.S. Southwest, Gwen’s background with Consumer Package Goods, visitor travel bureaus, beverage, tech, healthcare, voter issues and financial sector clients are a tremendous value add to her work in ESG, strategy and project leadership. She is a graduate of University of Washington and University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Business with a concentration in marketing (B.A. from UW) and Executive Master of Business Administration program (M.B.A. from UNLV). Gwen is currently the DEI Committee Chair for Sustainable Brands Advisory Board and previously on the executive committee of the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, board leadership of the Human Rights Campaign (Las Vegas, DC Metro), and American Marketing Association (Las Vegas, Hawaii, Guam). She and her wife Cuc Vu are active mother-negotiators of two school aged children, Max (8) and Ava (6), through Cub Scouts, baseball and Zoom dance and piano classes.

Senior Manager, Responsible Sourcing, VMware

 

Matt has long been passionate about people and the planet and believes that achieving a sustainable future means that we must tackle the climate crisis in a way that includes actions towards social justice, antiracism, and equity. Matt has adapted from a strategic sourcing professional to an ESG professional, generating conversation about allyship and climate action in his role leading VMware’s Responsible Sourcing program, focused on driving Trust, Equity, and Sustainability into the company’s supply chain.

Theresa Harrison
Global Director Environmental Social Governance Services Leader, EY

As EY Director – Environmental Social Governance Services (ESGS) in Procurement, Theresa drives an inclusive and sustainable mindset to procure in a sustainable way looking beyond short-term needs and considering the longer-term impacts. She oversees EY’s approach to create a distinctive experience for small, diverse and sustainable suppliers by teaming together to develop innovative solutions and strategies for EY, our clients and the communities we serve.

A member of the Procurement Executive, Theresa chairs the ESG Network that supports ESGS in monitoring and tracking the Procurement organization to buy sustainably sourced products and services and build an inclusive supply chain. 

An award winning and recognized leader in the industry, Theresa is a frequent public speaker and works to build awareness of the importance of supplier diversity both inside and outside of EY. She earned a BS in Business Management from Emmanuel College and an MBA in Management from Bentley University.

Sustainable Procurement Program Manager, Accenture

 

Elena Heckmann is a Sustainable Procurement Program Manager in Accenture’s Procurement Plus Supplier Inclusion & Sustainability team. Her focus is on advancing Accenture’s global responsible buying efforts in the field of environment, human rights, supplier inclusion and diversity, and working with the local procurement teams to put Accenture’s 2025 global strategy into action. Prior to joining the team, Elena worked as a Sustainability Strategy Consultant in Accenture’s client delivery teams and for international development projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is her strong believe that through sourcing sustainably, companies can use their purchasing power to create positive impact on how the world works and lives.
