We want to welcome you with open arms and hearts to a weekend filled with love, comfort, hope, peace and encouragement.  Mom to Mom - Heart to Heart.

The speakers and workshop leaders share insights on grief and coping tools. At the conferences, the moms on the same journey are able to give and receive comfort from one another with times of sharing, caring, bonding and the making of lasting friendships. 

Plus, the conference is a special time celebrating and remembering our children through a beautiful candlelight program and creating treasured memories honoring them. 

Guest Speaker

Bridgette Cameron Ridenour, the sister of Kirk Cameron and Candace Cameron Bure, will share her story of loss, grief, and a miracle! After her miscarriage, Bridgette has brought hope and healing to brokenhearted women throughout the world with her words of encouragement.

Guest Artist

Joe Knight, Musician, Author, and Founder of KNIGHTsong ministries, Joe and his loving wife Shaunda share a powerful message of hope to hurting people nationwide. Their ministry is born from the loss of their son to cancer in his third year of Bible College. They have rescued a multitude of grieving moms and dads on their journey of grief through Umbrella Ministries. There are no words to express what a blessing Joe is helping bereaved parents celebrate their precious children through worship music, encouraging messages, and memorable candle lighting programs.

AFTER A DEATH BY SUICIDE OR DRUG OVERDOSE

Most bereaved parents deal with guilt and shame to some extent after the death of a child. Because of the deaths by suicide or drug overdose the grief is sometimes compounded and complicated.  This workshop offers practical suggestions that helps any bereaved parent break out of the prison of guilt and regret.

SIBLING GRIEF  - Presented by Laura Baxter and Jill Leonard 

Our living children are often referred to as the “forgotten grievers” and need extra love and support during this time.  This workshop will help you understand the grief process children and siblings go through.  Ideas will also be presented to help your living grieving children through difficult holidays.

IS GOD REALLY BIG ENOUGH FOR MY GRIEF? - Presented by Bev Lecke

One of the most common responses to the grief of losing a child is the agonizing cry, "I can't do this!"  I have too many emotions, too much pain and unanswered questions, too much darkness and confusion, and not enough resources.  God???  Uhh, maybe, maybe not.  But, as I choose God over and over again, I begin to realize my God is holding me, sustaining me, bringing light to my darkness, lightening the weight of my grief, and deepening my reality of the eternal hope my child is experiencing.  I can't.  God can.  And I want to let Him....

FROM GRIEF TO HEALING - Presented by Dr. Kimber Wilkes

Grief and nutrition go hand in hand, but did you know the foods you're eating may be prolonging your grieving process?  This informative and interactive workshop combines elements of mind, body and spirit, starting with simple exercises and stretches to help release stress to the hidden issues when grief is eating you, especially “SUGAR” and the benefits of deep breathing for releasing the healing from within. You will be provided with tips and the advantages of focusing on nutrition and exercise to positively impact your body.
