Join us at Tourtertelle on the evening of Oct. 13 as we celebrate the Addison County harvest and kick off our first annual fundraiser, Bounty of the County!
ACORN is partnering with Tourterelle to host an evening to remember. Dinner will feature food grown in Addison County and will be served buffet style. Accompanying the meal will be a silent auction of fantastic Addison County products, and after dinner the Dough Boys will bring everyone to their feet for an autumn night dance party.
We're raising money to support a coordinator to help move the mission of Farm to School forward in Addison County, and we're celebrating all the hard work our community has accomplished this year.
Register Now!Please Note: We are offering a sliding scale fee of $25 to $75 per person for admission. Please choose the price that is appropriate for you. Your generosity allows everyone to attend this community fundraising event.
The Menu
Hors d'oeuvres:
- Blue Ledge Farm, Orb Weaver and Crawford Creamery cheeses
- fresh fruit & Castleton Crackers
wine suggestion: Lincoln Peak La Crescent 2011-an aromatic white wine with vibrant notes of pear, apple, and lemon
Buffet dinner:
- Elmer Farm mixed greens and cabbage, Golden Russet Farm beets, Sunrise Orchards apples & chevre
- Grilled & roasted beef, lamb, Vermont Heritage Grazers pork loin and
Misty Knoll chicken with red wine demi-glace - Bulgur Wheat Salad with fresh lemon, Danz Ahn feta cheese,
scallions & dried cranberries - Toasted Sunrise Orchards corn and Gildrien Farm butternut squash, cauliflower and broccoli with garlic & fine herbs
- Roasted Gildrien Farm potatoes with rosemary
wine suggestion: Lincoln Peak Marquette 2011-a hearty and smooth dry red wine; flavors of black cherry and black pepper & Starlight 2011-a dry rosé with an aroma of raspberry and strawberry but with a crisp finish
