The Alabama Department of Archives and History is pleased to host Echoes and Reflections, a teacher workshop for Alabama middle and high school educators who want to incorporate Holocaust education into their curriculum. A joint program of the Anti-Defamation League, USC Shoah Foundation, and Yad Vashem, Echoes and Reflections will prepare educators to teach about the Holocaust in a way that stimulates engagement and critical thinking while providing opportunities for students to see the relevance of this complex history to their own lives.
Teachers attending the professional development program receive a Teacher’s Resource Guide, access to an extensive array of visual history testimonies, and unlimited use of supplementary multimedia resources and supportive tools from the expansive Echoes and Reflections website. Attendees will also earn a certificate and seven clock hours of professional development time.
A FREE lunch will be provided to all attendees.
