25th Annual Golden Pyramid Scholars Awards

The Urban League of San Diego County will celebrate and salute student achievement at the 25th Annual Golden Pyramid Scholars Program, Saturday, April 30, 2015, 8:00 a.m.  The 2016 theme is "Building on the tradition of Achievement" .

As the parent or guardian of a 1st  - 12th  grade student, you and your child may be aware of the Annual Golden Pyramid Scholars Award Ceremony in which the San Diego Urban League honors students for high academic achievement.  We are seeking nominations of students with a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above who are African American, African, mixed ethnicity, or part of one the underrepresented student populations for this special acknowledgement.  In addition to this invitation, we request that you please nominate other students who you may feel meet the same criteria. Feel free to send the application link to other students and/or their families for additional nominees.

Strictly Enforced Application Requirements Include the Following:

  • Middle and High School Students: Must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 or greater.
  • Elementary School Students: Must have above average in math, science, language arts, citizenship, and attendance.
Note: A Cumulative Grade Point Average is a calculation of the average of all of a student's grades for all semesters and courses completed up to a given academic term, whereas the GPA may only refer to one term.
