Healthy Backs and Bodies for the Industrial Athlete

Join us in training as an Industrial Athlete for the morning!

Delving into the essentials of safe, efficient, healthy movement, HEALTHY BACKS & BODIES™ for The Industrial Athlete empowers participants to ‘feel’ and immediately integrate into their industrial environment, a new awareness of body posturing, positioning, healthy movements, CORE™ Mechanics, preventative actions, and pre-shift / post-shift self-care.

Industrial athletes receive enhanced instruction in proper body mechanics (CORE™ Mechanics) with an emphasis on re-training and re-sequencing underlying movement patterns to allow the body to once again default into proper movement. This program takes the ‘inside-out’ approach of the physical therapy profession and applies it directly to the industrial environment. As correct actions and movements become second nature, this re-patterning creates a new, safe, healthy default system within the industrial athlete, immediately working to decrease Repetitive Stress Injuries and Musculo-Skeletal Disorders. Proper movements, mechanics, and exercises will significantly reduce injury risk as well as prevent, minimize or abolish back and neck pain.

Through hands-on instruction, this evidence-based experiential, fun, active program equips your work force with scientifically sound, easily applied strategies and movement training and leaves them with an arsenal of tips, tools and exercises. Inclusive in this instruction is the ‘healthy shift process’ – current-day practice for pre-shift warm-up and post-shift cool-down.
