Session Topic
Authentic Confidence: The Secret to Leading an Unstoppable Career

Summary
You will likely work over 75,000 hours in your lifetime. How many of those hours will you enjoy? Confidence issues are often at the core of our work and life challenges. While most people are keenly aware of their own confidence issues, most have no idea how to move from a state of over or under confidence into authentic confidence. Your current confidence profile is not fixed. You have the ability to move up and down the confidence continuum. Learn to give and receive compliments and criticism so you can begin to take ownership of both your greatness and growth areas. When you learn how to communicate the appropriate amount of confidence in every situation, you demonstrate the highest form of influence: trust.

Learning Objectives

  • What do you think your confidence profile might be?
  • What personalities or subjects trigger your own confidence issues? What will you do to prepare your response in advance of those triggers?
  • What is pride in work? What is humility in relationships? Why are these important to confidence?
  • What is the best compliment you have ever received? Who delivered the best criticism you have ever received? How did this feedback make you feel? Do compliments and/or criticism tend to make you uncomfortable? Why?
  • How will you take equal ownership of your greatness and growth areas? Why is this important?
