There are many different requirements and responsibilities for items being imported into the U.S. In order to import goods into the U.S. you need to know:
The US Customs Bureau is entrusted with enforcing hundreds of laws for 40 different government agencies. The purpose is to protect the country's economy, residents, jobs and environment, by controlling the flow of goods, especially restricted and prohibited goods, into and out of the country. Understanding these requirements is critical to your business success.We will review the process of importing products manufactured overseas, buying terms (also known as Incoterms), and the required documentation from US Customs. We will also review the various government agencies that are involved and the commodities that each oversees.
