Driving Directions

Oshkosh Area Leaders are joining forces to support our nonprofit community. Join us on October 29 for an all-day training event designed for Non-profit CEOs, Executive Directors, and Board Members. Vicki Clark, keynote speaker from Enterprising Nonprofits will be presenting the training at the event.

Get On Board
Giving you the tools to serve and lead

Nonprofit boards are ultimately responsible for their organization, yet spend little time looking at the big picture and assessing their own performance. What is your role in strengthening your organization? How does your work fit into the larger needs of the community?

Please join us for a unique training experience (rarely offered in Oshkosh) for area nonprofit executive directors and board members featuring Vicki Clark, BoardSource certified senior governance consultant.

This day-long event will be customized for participants’ needs based on board self-assessments prior to the event. It will help define what it takes for a board to be effective in terms of:

GovernanceFundraising Planning and management Roles and responsibilities Shared leadership

Participants can expect to build skills in assisting nonprofits in strengthening their performance through effective leadership and benefit from sharing information and experience with others.

The nonprofit sector is driven by service minded individuals who want to improve the quality of life in our community. It’s hard to imagine, but we can all be better and more effective in the work we do. This event will help assess where we’re at and how we can strengthen our communities.

About Get On Board

Get on Board is presented in partnership with First Business Bank, the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, Oshkosh Area United Way and the Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin. Working to strengthen our communities, these organizations encourage nonprofits to send at least one board representative. Please contact any of the individuals below for more information about whether this training is right for you.
