During this dynamic program, an Attorney and Data Scientist from Jackson Lewis will demonstrate how today’s employer can leverage the data it maintains about its employees to help manage the workplace and steer clear of legal pitfalls. From identifying talent and administering its pay practices, to predicting attrition and gauging liability, data analytics is changing the way human resources professionals and employers conduct business.

• Responsibly leverage data and inform workplace decision-making around hiring, retention, and pay scales
• Identify current uses and future developments in workplace analytics

Presenters: Eric J. Felsberg is a Principal in the Long Island Office and the National Director of the Analytics Group at Jackson Lewis P.C. As the National Director of the Analytics Group, Mr. Felsberg leads a team of multi-disciplinary lawyers, statisticians, and analysts with decades of experience managing the interplay of data analytics and the law. Under Mr. Felsberg’s leadership, the Analytics Group applies proprietary algorithms and state-of-the-art modeling techniques to help employers evaluate risk and drive legal strategy.

Samantha Rhoads is a Data Scientist with Jackson Lewis P.C., Ms. Rhoads works directly with clients on a diverse range of projects, ranging from data management and predictive analytics to interactive visualizations. Ms. Rhoads prides herself on learning about the human experience, to accumulate quantitative analytical skills, and to keep learning while contributing to field of data science.
