Exercise as a Prescription for Health: A Multidimensional Approach 

This year's program is being held on Thursday October 7, 2010 from 7:30 am – 4 pm at the Sheet Metal Workers’ Union Local 19, 1301 South Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA.  Complimentary breakfast, lunch and parking are also included in the registration fee.

The conference focuses on the health benefits of exercise, how to utilize an exercise prescription, how to incorporate fitness into anyone’s life regardless of barriers or disabilities, and a spotlight on the nation “Exercise is Medicine” program.  The tools and resources necessary to effectively communicate, coach and motivate your clients to become more fit will also be addressed.  

The program will end with a drawing for a free Wii and WiiFit courtesy of Best Buy.

The target audience for this conference is Health Educators, Nurses, Personal Trainers, Dietitians, Social Workers, Certified Diabetes Educators, Nutritionists, Teachers, School Personnel, and others working within the fields of public health, fitness and medicine.
