Keynote speaker - Daniel D. Von Hoff, MD, FACP, TGEN
Dr. Von Hoff is world renowned for his contributions to pancreatic cancer research. He and his team were instrumental in the development of one anti-cancer agent (gemcitabine) that significantly improves survival rates of patients with pancreatic cancer. TGen's efforts in pancreatic cancer research are aided by the fact that Dr. Von Hoff has coordinated the formation of a world-wide team of experts solely focused on pancreatic research, named the Pancreatic Cancer Research Team (PCRT). Scientists within the PCRT share knowledge and resources to make rapid advances in pancreatic research. PCRT specializes in using this knowledge to initiate clinical trials to allow patients immediate access to newly developed therapies.
