Air Force Association
Air Force Association Gabriel Chapter #433
The AFA Gabriel Chapter encourages your participation in the "Wreaths Across America" at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) in Arlington, VA. On that day, wreath laying teams will place a wreath on each grave to show respect for our veterans buried there.
If you want to place wreaths, please attend with the public volunteer group that arrives in the morning. You can bring family members as well. The ANC gates will open at 8:00am, and the opening ceremony will take place at the McClellan Gate starting at 8:30am. The wreath placement will also begin at this time. Wreath placement will begin no later than 9:00am.
There will be an AFA team led by Mr. Pat Rocke, one of our members, who is AFA's Truck Crew Chief. He will be working with a crew of 10 volunteers to disperse wreaths to volunteers who will place them on grave stones with a mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach. Individuals who want to support the crew in handing out wreaths (not placing wreaths) should register via the "Register Now" link below.
To work with the AFA truck (#33), please enter at 8:00 with the volunteer crowds, and come to the AFA truck ASAP. It will take 15-20 minutes to walk from the Arlington Cemetery Metro, and you will have thousands of people to dodge.
Wreath pickup day is in mid-January 2020 for the removal of the wreaths. A separate email will be sent for that event.
