Virginia AFA Quarterly EXCOM Meeting
February 8, 2020

The Virginia AFA Quarterly EXCOM Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 8, at the Hyatt Regency-Dullles in Herndon, VA.  It's being hosted by the Gabriel Chapter.  There will be a Hospitality Suite (Horizon Suite) on the evenings of February 7th and 8th.  The guest speaker is Alvin Drew, Colonel, USAF (Ret), a NASA astronaut, who will speak to the AFA members and members of the public at the Chapter Professional Developmnet dinner on the evening of February 8th.  We would like all of the attendees to come in on Friday evening (7th) and stay until Sunday morning (9th).

This event supports our AFA Mission to promote aerospace dominance by advocating for a strong national defense, educating the public on aerospace issues, and supporting Airmen and their families. As an AFA Aerospace Education event, the astronaut presentation will highlight the importance of STEM education to develop an informed and technically adept citizenry, the value of space exploration, the role of NASA, our astronauts, and the ISS.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  For the lunch buffet:  

*  Mixed Greens Salad with Herb Crouton, Shredded Carrot, Ranch, and Basamic Dressing
*  Sliced Turkey and Ham
*  Sliced Swiss and Cheddar Cheese; Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise, and Mustard
*  Brownies.
