Try This for Healthcare Professionals is a collaboration between the WVU School of Medicine Eastern Division, Try This West Virginia, The Future of Nursing WV, the WV Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Quality Insights, WV Bureau for Public Health, and other WV providers, institutions, and community leaders.
Try This WV Conference
Are you working for a healthier WV? This conference is for you! Two idea-packed, inspiring days with like-minded people! Meet people from all over the state who are doing great things in their communities. Trade ideas - join forces - get inspired - learn - plan next steps - help build a statewide movement!
- Forty workshops! From farmers markets and school gardens to bicycling and running programs to school-based health centers and parks, we’ve got great workshop leaders who really know their stuff!
- Mini-grant program! If three or more people from your community attend the conference and plan as a team, you can apply for a grant to help make your healthier-community idea happen! More details here.
- Team building! Come with others from your community so you can brainstorm and plan in a stimulating, idea-filled atmosphere.
- Youth activities! Young people from 12 - 18 are encouraged to attend and participate in our conference. We believe our future comes from them, we need them at this conference with us!
