Mindfulness as Self Care

Burnout is rampant in the fields where caring for others is the primary mission. This session will help you uncover the elements that lead to burnout and ways to mitigate the impact of burnout so you can continue to arrive at work as your best self.

About the Trainer

Danielle Vander Linden is a Trauma Informed Specialist in Salem, Oregon with ten years of experience working with at-risk children and youth in Oregon's foster care system, as well as adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Danielle was trained as a trainer in the Sanctuary Model, an organizational approach of trauma informed practices. This model uses a trauma informed approach to assist organizations in building a trauma informed workforce, which facilitates stronger collaboration among co-workers and sets a foundation for better outcomes for children, youth, and families working with these staff members. She holds a Master's degree in Special Education and is a Qualified Mental Health Professional. In addition to her formal education, she is trained in Collaborative Problem Solving, Restorative Justice, and Continuous Quality Improvement. She also teachers at Western Oregon University.
