Spring Break Registration
Spring Break Immersion is a new session for Morningside PlayCare, created in response to parents in our after-school program. We are pleased to make this Monday-through-Friday session available at a special rate to introduce new parents to our play-based approach to Mandarin immersion. Each session features outdoor time, special theme-based projects, music, art, and lots of fun. We do all this while immersing children in the Mandarin language. Our Mandarin staff are native speakers (Teachers College, Columbia University graduates and graduatae students) who speak to and play with the children in Mandarin 100% of the time.
Who Can Enroll in our Spring Break Program?
- Ages 2.5 to 5, with or without previous exposure to Mandarin
- First and second graders who have some level of Mandarin fluency already, or who have Mandarin supported in the home
What About Infants and Toddlers?
There are spring semester openings for infants and toddlers in our regular weekday Mandarin immersion childcare program.
Spring Break Dates
April 25 - 29 (5 days)
INDIVIDUALIZED SCHEDULING AND FLEXY DAYS: Children may enroll for a minimum of 4 days in any session and may also enroll for flexy days in the two week session, enabling them to attend on select days in the session. Parents choosing this option will be contacted to discuss this individualized scheduling.
Location and Facility
We are a small, licensed, home-based program, located in the Morningside Gardens co-op complex, a six-building campus of one square block, with hilly grass, trees, and gardens. The campus includes a private playground dedicated to young children, and is located one block from Morningside Park, two blocks from Riverside Park, and three blocks from Teachers College.

TUITION AND REGISTRATION
Full day: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
- $300 for 5 days
EXTENDED CARE TUITION
Morning Care: 8:00 - 8:30 am - Free of charge
Extended Care: 3:00 - 6:00 pm - $100 p/wk
REGISTRATION FEE: $50
PAYMENT
Payment can be made by check, online credit card, or PayPal. Note: "Pay at Door" option only available for pre-registration at one of our Open Houses.
Registration and balance of tuition due 14 days prior to start of program.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the start of a session receive a 50% tuition refund. There are no refunds available after the session begins.
