SThe 28th Annual Ohio Fair Lending & Vital Communities Conference will be held on October 27, 2017 at Cleveland State University's Levin College of Urban Affairs and will focus on our yearlong theme of "Rebuilding the Community." CLEs pending.
Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:45 and the conference will start promptly at 8:30 with a speech from Mark Schweitzer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
We are pleased to have Dr. Tom Bier, Senior Fellow at CSU's Levin College, as our keynote speaker. He will be discussing his new book, Housing Dynamics in Northeast Ohio: Setting the Stage for Resurgence, in his address to the conference. His areas of expertise include housing markets, population movement, urban sprawl, and urban development.
In addition to Dr. Bier's keynote address, we will have four panel discussions surrounding our theme of "Rebuilding the Community". The topics include community benefits agreements, new approaches to urban transportation, and the future role of community development corporations. In addition, we will also host a response panel to the keynote address.
This is sure to be an informative day filled with great speakers. Please RSVP by October 26, 2017 to ensure our registration records are up to date.
