Three back to back mini-sessions will help energize you for the last quarter of the year. They will include "Mindfulness and Movement for Teachers and Students"; "Teaming With Parents to Support Student Needs"; followed by breakout discussions "Strategies for Learning and Behavioral Challenges in your EC and Elementary Classrooms".
Presenters include Liz Abendroth, MEd, RYT, who has worked as a school psychologist in public and independent schools since 1997. She has a diverse background: evaluating students with special needs, crafting behavior plans, consulting on classroom management and leading meetings with parents and teachers. Liz also has experience with mindfulness, meditation and yoga. She has tailored workshops and classes specifically for teachers, to offer them strategies for their own wellness as well as for their students. The classroom strategies discussions will be facilitated by MEIPN faculty members Amy Fujimoto, Robin Held and Ally Noble who are all experienced classroom teachers with additional training in supporting learning differences.
