2018 Pollinator Habitat Workshop 

 

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the Edison Electric Institute, and the Energy Resources Center at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group are pleased to collaborate on this important pollinator workshop. This event will advance understanding, technical research, and multi-industry efforts to more effectively consider pollinators in day-to-day business operations

Energy and electric power companies, transportation organizations, government agencies, universities, research institutes, and environmental stakeholders are invited for two days of networking, collaborative learning, and productive working sessions.

8:00am - 6:30pm EDT: Joint Workshop and Hosted Reception by EEI
If you face hurdles to implementation of projects that support pollinators, you are not alone! Through case studies, networking, and facilitated discussions, we will tackle key hurdles facing electric power companies, departments of transportation, and railroads as we consider pollinator conservation efforts across multiple industries.

8:00am - 3:00pm EDT: Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group Breakout
Reflections from the joint workshop and in-depth breakout discussions on a variety of topics, including collaborative approaches for addressing threatened and endangered (T&E) species, habitat metrics and targets, and geospatial database development.
