This seminar will provide social workers with practical knowledge and skills. This seminar will explore ways to combine different models of treatment and when this is applicable to practice. Seminar also explores ethical issues in working with patients and the need to try different approaches to treatment when one approach is not working.

Speaker: Phil Feldman, PhD, LCSW
Dr. Phil Feldman is the Director at Journey to Wellness substance abuse program and teaches at Rutgers University, Graduate School of Social Work. Dr. Feldman has experience working as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor for more than 30 years. He has presented over 275 seminars on mental health topics including Personality Disorders, Emotional Disorders and Psychotherapy models. In addition, Dr. Feldman is the author of “The Psychotherapy Manual”, “Co-Occurring Disorders Manual”, and “Shame Affect — Theory, Research, and Clinical Treatment”.
