Come join us for another engaging Current Events Luncheon.
Our guest for Thursday April 20th, at the Cosmopolitan Club will be “Patsy,” a wise-cracking, stoop-sitting South Philadelphia philosopher, wise woman, and spiritual guide who bears a striking resemblance of Jennifer Childs – only she is funnier.
Now Jen, often called the funniest woman in Philadelphia, and is a tour de force on the local theater scene. She’s the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of 1812 Productions, the only professional theater company in the country dedicated to comedy.
The thickly accented Patsy has become a staple of 1812’s popular year-end review This Is the Week That Is, offering wisdom from her South Philly steps. Patsy is also a special commentator on WHYY’s Newsworks. Patsy recently taught a class in satire and sensitivity to a group of Mummers leaders.
Join us on April 20th to see if she, pardon me, Patsy, can teach us anything. Folks, this will be fun. Should you want to know Patsy better, here is a 5 minute video clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji9o46eDvG8.
If you are paying by check, payment is due to FitC by April 14. Your cooperation is appreciated.
