As an early learning professional, family member or other professional working with children ages 2-6 it is hard to avoid encountering challenging behavior. This series of 2 sessions will discuss a common definition of challenging behavior.
- Participants will develop a common definition of challenging behavior and explore contributing factors.
- Participants will gain insight into how beliefs, temperament and relationships impact behavior.
- Participants will explore regulation resources and walk away with a personal plan on how to better support relationships with children and families.
PART 2 scheduled for Monday, July 1, 2019 12:30pm to 4:30pm
By Attending the Part 2 series, participants will be able to identify, prevent, intervene and develop a behavior plan to address challenging behaviors in children.
Nicolle Moore, MS, IMFT, is Coordinator of Mental Health in Early Childhood Child Focus, Inc. She is responsible for a team of therapists and consultants working in Adams, Brown, Clermont, Hamilton, and Highland counties. In addition she works as a Master trainer that is funded by the state of Ohio as part of the Whole Child Matters Grant and is responsible for consultation with all types of early learning programs. She provides training for early learning professionals and parents in social/emotional development, challenging behaviors, early approaches to learning, and trauma informed approaches. Ms. Moore has been working at Child Focus since 2008 and has over 13 years experience working with a variety of at risk youth in many community settings.
Continuing Education Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists: The Child Focus, Inc. Training Center is approved through the Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. This program is offered for 3.75 clock hours of continuing education for counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists. Social Work Provider#: RSX129410 Counselor Provider#: RCX029503 Marriage and Family Therapist Provider#: RTX091001 Psychologists: The Child Focus, Inc. Training Center is approved by the Ohio Psychological Association MCE program to offer continuing education for Ohio psychologists. This program is offered for 3.75 clock hours of continuing education for psychologists. Child Focus, Inc., 00PD-3109-52668, maintains responsibility for the program.
Cancellation Policy: The Training Center must be notified 7 days prior to a training via telephone, fax or email in order to cancel a registration and receive a full refund.
