USAD National Competition Volunteer Registration 

Minnesota to Host 2013 USAD National Competition: Volunteers Needed to Judge Speech & Interview Competitions

United States Academic Decathlon (USAD) is the premier national scholastic competition for high school students, created to provide opportunities for students to experience the challenges of rigorous team and individual competition. The theme for this year’s competition is Russia.

High school students from more than 35 states will gather April 25-27, 2013 at the Minneapolis Hilton to challenge themselves and others for national honors. Volunteers are needed to assist with the competition. More than 350 students will present prepared and impromptu speeches and complete interviews before a panel of judges Thursday afternoon, April 25. Approximate hours of service will be 3 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Training and dinner will be provided. If you have speech, public speaking or interviewing skills, please consider volunteering as a judge at the USAD National Competition.

We are also looking for volunteers to proctor objective testing Friday morning, April 26 from 6 a.m. – 12 p.m. Training and breakfast will be provided. This opportunity does not require specific speech or interviewing skills. If this opportunity is of interest, please volunteer to assist Friday.
