About our speaker
Sean Williams, P.E., has more than 26 years of experience in water resource engineering and complex project management. At the South Florida Water Management District, he is responsible for oversight of the design and construction of regional-scale ecosystem restoration projects including stormwater treatment areas, above ground impoundments, flow equalization basins, and system capacity improvements. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the O&M Capital Program, the District’s initiative to rehabilitate flood control infrastructure constructed primarily in the 1950’s - 1960’s. Mr. Williams also serves as the District’s Deputy Emergency Manager.
Prior to joining the District in 2008, he served in the private sector at engineering consulting firms, specializing in the design and construction of local and County roadways, as well as stormwater infrastructure improvement and recreation facility projects for numerous Palm Beach County and multiple municipalities.
Mr. Williams has both a Master of Science Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. A Florida native and life-long resident of the Palm Beach County area, he is a professional engineer registered in the state of Florida.
