Colorado Foundations Training - Denver

CoAIMH is excited to offer our first pilot community training, Colorado Foundation of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health for Early Childhood Professionals and Partners (Colorado Foundations), this fall!

Colorado Foundations was developed to strengthen the capacity of the early childhood workforce by providing a continuum of high-quality, consistent infant and early childhood mental health supports to children and families. The intended audience of the course is Early Intervention providers and service coordinators, early care and education providers, home visitors, public health nurses, and other infant and early childhood providers. However, the course is open to any infant and early childhood professional who would not otherwise have access to this training from grants such as LAUNCH Together, Project LAUNCH, etc. CO Foundations will be offered to grant-specific groups beginning in early 2018. 

Colorado Foundations will be unique in its ability to promote a shared understanding and common language of infant and early childhood mental health principles to individuals across a broad array of disciplines. (However, it is not intended to replace advanced clinical knowledge and training that would prepare a professional to provide evidenced-based clinical treatment.)  Further, the curriculum content supports the Competencies associated with the Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-Focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health (IMH-E®), which facilitates the growth of necessary knowledge for those professionals seeking Endorsement. 

 Thursday, October 26 - Saturday, October 28 (This is a three-day training.)

 9:15-4:30 each day (light breakfast and lunch provided)

 The Community Room at the Apex Field House, 5724 Oak St, Arvada, CO 80002

$75 person for all three days.
