Denver AADE 3 Gun Shoot
The AADE is holding a 3 Gun Match on May 11th at the Bar Star Ranch near Como, CO.
Diamond T Services is sponsoring the venue and shooting steel.
We plan to shoot Friday and then invite any participants who are interested to camp at the Ranch on Friday night and enjoy good food, cold adult beverages, good company and then head home on Saturday after breakfast.
AADE is looking for sponsors to assist with lunch, dinner, beverages and the next morning’s breakfast.
For those of you who are not familiar with 3 Gun matches, the event requires a shotgun (semi-auto or pump are typically better due to magazine capacity), a pistol (again semi-auto works best as you can reload more quickly) and a semi-auto rifle (most shooters are using AR type rifles). All 3 firearms must be center fire cartridge type. If you want to participate but don’t have all the required firearms, don’t worry, I am sure there are enough folks who will be there that could loan you one for the activities.
The individual matches may require any combination of the above referenced firearms, could be all 3, a combination of 2 of them or even just one of them. The idea is to have fun and test your skills. Holster, mag holders and shotgun shell holders will be needed as you may be required to reload in the course of each match but again, these items could be shared by the teams if necessary.

THE KEY IS TO HAVE FUN SO DON’T LET THE FACT THAT YOU MAY NOT HAVE PARTICIPATED IN AN EVENT LIKE THIS KEEP YOU FROM COMING OUT!

Check in: 8:30 - 9:30 am
Safety Briefing: 9:45 am
Equipment Awareness: 10:00 - 11:00 am (how to draw from holster, best methods for reloads on the move, proper method of safe staging of firearms after use in match, etc.)
Lunch: 11:00 am
Ammo requirements
2 boxes (qty. 50) shotgun shells (7-1/2 or 8 shot, low brass)
3 boxes pistol cartridges (qty. 150)
5 boxes rifle cartridges (qty. 100)
More ammo can be brought if you want to shoot some more.
It is suggested that you have minimum of 2 magazines for both pistol and rifle.
Some matches may require 20+ rounds fired from each firearm so plan accordingly if you are using single stack magazines.
