PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

To construct a near miss program to determine situations which might presently have or in the future could have greater safety consequences if not reported and evaluated to modify conditions. 

OBJECTIVES

After viewing this presentation students will be able to:

• Define a near miss incident.
• Determine the importance of reporting such an incident toward reducing a possible future occurrence of greater impact.
• Describe conditions/incidents which may culminate in a near miss situation.
• Implement proper reporting of near miss situations.
• Describe management stages and the management system best utilized to report such situations.
• Complete report forms dealing with near miss incidents.
