PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
To provide an understanding of the regulatory requirements as well as the determining factors to maintain compliance with related OSHA standards.
OBJECTIVES
After viewing this program students will be able to:
- Understand the difference between reportable and recordable injuries.
- Realize the difference between Workers' Comp and Recordable incidents.
- Identify what injuries/illnesses are not considered work related.
- Identify the differences between medical treatment and first aid.
- Understand how to calculate time lost from work.
- Identify the "fine points" of restricted work duty.
- Identify what work related injuries/illness are automatically recordable.
- Understand the requirements of recording "sharps" injuries.
- Identify the different related forms used by OSHA.
- Identify the nuances of record retention and updating.
- Identify the numerous OSHA resources available to assist in compliance.
