APICS Tampa Bay, the leading association for supply chain and operations managementinvites local supply chain, operations management, transportation and logistics professionals to our Professional Development Meeting on June 9, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the DoubleTree Hotel Tampa Airport Westshore, 4500 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, FL 33607. This is our Top Mananagement event for 2015!. 

Our speaker is Mr. Gerald L. Kilty, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP, founder and President of Quality Management Solutions, Inc., a Tampa Bay area consulting firm specializing in operations management.

This interactive presentation will focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations and the lessons learned. The presenter has many years of experience and often while assessing ERP system effectiveness within a company the impact (problems) of the implementation surfaces. Many times these problems are the reasons companies do not receive the return on investment that they anticipated with the ERP system decision.

The audience will learn:

  • The five key “Must Do’s” during an ERP implementation to avoid serious problems later
  • How the APICS body of knowledge can be the common language spoken within a company
  • Numerous lessons learned and implementation tips aimed at on-going system improvements and avoiding implementation problems

During this presentation attendees will hear many tips on what to do and what not to do during the ERP implementation stage. In addition, tips for improved ERP performance on an on-going basis will also be discussed.

Gerald L. Kilty, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP is President and founder of Quality Management Solutions, Inc. (QMS), a consulting and education firm located in Clearwater, Florida.  QMS concentrates on providing companies Operations Management education and specializes in providing practical applications of that education within companies through process improvement.  Jerry has the unique qualification of having been responsible for both the financial and physical elements of inventory.  He has plenty of practical solutions and loves to teach.  Key areas of focus are:

    • Sales and Operations Planning 
    • Master Scheduling & Materials Management

Jerry has over 20 years’ experience teaching the APICS Body of Knowledge (BOK). He has earned the level of APICS Master Instructor for Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Lean, and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). He has conducted numerous workshops, presented at many organization’s professional development sessions and nine APICS international conferences.

Jerry has a BS degree in Accounting from Ball State University and is recognized by APICS as Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Managemment (CFPIM) Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
