Professional Development Meeting

Topic:
Are You Working on the Right Stuff?

APICS Tampa Bay invites local supply chain, operations management, transportation and logistics professionals to our Professional Development Meeting on March 14, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Bascom's Chop House, 3665 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater FL 33762.

Our guest speaker is Denise Gillespie of The Denmark Group, Inc. Denise will be speaking on the topic of Are You Working on the Right Stuff?

In business today all enterprises are running lean and trying to find ways to do more with less.

Unfortunately, all organizations have a limited amount of capacity and must manage their priorities to be successful. Oliver Wight said that successful manufacturing enterprises must focus on managing priorities and capacities.

This presentation will look at ways to identify your business priorities for this year, review your capacities to execute those priorities, and then manage the activities necessary for a successful outcome.

Application of familiar concepts used in inventory management and production scheduling will be shown and real-world examples will be provided.
