Join cycling event directors and organizers for a one day conference to learn how to better market, plan and run your cycling event. Over the past 15 years more than 150 charity and community cycling events have been developed in the Mid-Atlantic States. We will join together to share best practices and learn from successful marketers and risk management experts on ways to make your event bigger and better in 2015.

Our speakers will include, Pat Cunnane, president of Advanced Sports Int/ Fuji Bicycles, sharing his insights on the economic impact of biking and role we can all play in advocating for better biking in our communities; Joseph Piscitello, from Piscitello Law discussing importance of risk management and creating safe cycling environments for our riders and Stephanie Genuardi, marketing communications manager at Advanced Sport Int, leading a session on marketing with limited resources. And Jim Sayer, Executive Director of Adventure Cycling Association located in Missoula, Montana will discuss trends in Bicycle Tourism and working to connect with bike tour companies and bike businesses.

Registration Fee: $65 covers the cost of the conference and lunch

Pat Cunnane, a tireless advocate for cycling and cyclists, is President and CEO of Advanced Sports International (ASI), which includes Fuji, Kestrel, SE and Breezer. Pat is a Philadelphia native and six-time winner of the Philadelphia Commuter Race. Pat serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of People for Bike, a national advocacy organization. He is also Chairman of the National Foundation for fitness Sport and Nutrition. Pat has received multiple awards for his advocacy efforts, including the Bicycle Product Suppliers Association’s “National Advocacy Award” and the "Bicycle Industry Leadership Award" by the League of American Bicyclists

Joseph T. Piscitello, a native of Pennsylvania, has built a 30 year personal injury legal practice which specializes in cycling law. He is uniquely suited to represent cyclists as he combines litigation experience along with the cyclist perspective; he founded PA Master's Cycling Team which competes nationally. Joe knows the potential dangers posed by poorly marked and maintained roadways which may contribute to deadly accidents between motorists and cyclists. Piscitello Law sponsors road and cross races in the region along with the Philadelphia Bicycle Coalition.

Stephanie Genuardi is the Marketing Communications Manager at Advanced Sports International (ASI), parent company of cycling brands Fuji, SE, Kestrel, Breezer, and Oval Concepts. Over the past four years, she’s helped to significantly grow ASI’s brands – both locally and across the globe. Since taking over the Fuji Facebook page in August of 2011, the page boasts 50,000 new fans. She’s also managed three recent product launches that have dramatically elevated the Fuji and Breezer brands – formulating the messaging, directing video and website production, writing press releases, providing direction for collateral, and overseeing the launch events. With a background in journalism, Stephanie also coordinates editorial reviews and product placement opportunities, produces sponsored athlete content, and oversees all brand communication.

Jim Sayer is the executive director of Adventure Cycling Association. Their mission is to inspire and empower people to travel by bicycle and is the premier bicycle-travel organization in North America with more than 35 years of experience and 47,500 members. They produce bike -friendly routes and maps which cover over 42,000 miles for the Adventure Cycling Route Network. In addition, they lead over 100 bike tours and instructional courses each year. Adventure Cycling produces the award-winning Adventure Cyclists magazine and uses the proceeds from tours, map sales, membership and donations to advocate for better biking and bike travel in North America

Pedaling.com held our inaugural Bicycle Event Directors Conference in New England in March 2014. The participants and speakers benefitted from the sessions and meeting one another.
