Paradox Sports Veterans - Rafting 2014 

The Paradox Sports Veterans program provides a transformative experience for military members (veterans and active duty) who have a disability (wounded, injured or ill). 

We are teaming up with Splore to offer an incredible 4 day, 3 night rafting and white water experience from Colorado to Utah!  We will spend 3 days traveling through the flat water Ruby and Horsethief Canyons by raft and standup paddleboards (SUP) then we finish the trip with an exciting whitewater experience in Westwater Canyon.

This Ruby/Horsethief and Westwater Canyon combo rafting and SUP trip with Splore, Surf Salida, and Paradox Sports will give you the best of both worlds. You will experience a trip through natural history, floating on raft and SUP through the rolling cottonwood laden hillsides, and black schist canyons of the Ruby/Horsethief section, and then heading straight into the heart of some of the best whitewater the Colorado River has to offer in Westwater Canyon.

During the course of your trip you will have a chance to see big horn sheep, bald eagles, beaver, historical markings, and rapids that will blow your mind. This trip is a must for anyone looking to get away from it all, and see all that the Colorado River has to offer.

Participants are welcome to bring their fishing gear and can try out stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). We will have SUP experts on-hand to give tips for success on the water (boards provided).

This incredible experience will break barriers, inspire your inner spirit, while building camaraderie and confidence. Participation in this event is free for disabled military members (veterans and active duty). You will be responsible for your transportation to and from the event. We have a successful fundraising platform called Crowdrise that we can utilize with your participation if financial assistance is needed.
