About the Keynote Speaker
A co-founder of Vermont Women in Higher Education, Peggy R. Williams has a long history of leadership at institutions in both Vermont and New York. She served as the seventh president, and the first woman president, of Ithaca College in New York from 1997 to 2008. Prior to Ithaca, Peggy served as president of Lyndon State College for eight years. In addition, she held positions of Associate Academic Dean, Chair of the Business and Economic Department and Associate Professor at Trinity College. She holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, an M.Ed. from the University of Vermont and a B.A. from St. Michael's College of the University of Toronto.
