Online Change Through Compassion Workshop

with Lesley Huff, PsyD,

Licensed Psychologist and Certified Teacher in Mindful Self-Compassion

Samaritan Counseling Center

During these uncertain and anxious times, the practices of mindfulness and compassion help to boosts the immune system, reduce anxiety, and keep our hearts open to others. Self-compassion can help if the virus is causing you unnecessary anxiety, limiting your ability to work or travel, reducing your income, or if you or someone you know has already contracted the virus.

The Change Through Compassion offerings are based on the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program, an empirically-supported, psychoeducational course based on the groundbreaking work of Drs. Kristin Neff and Chris Germer (www.centerformsc.org).

Join us for the Online Change Through Compassion Workshop through Zoom. Participants will be led through guided meditations, teachings, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices. The goal is for participants to directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke compassion in their daily lives.

The Online Change Through Compassion Workshop will be held twice a week, on Thursdays 6-8:30PM and Saturdays 9:30-12PM from April 23 to May 21, with participants attending both days/times. Our retreat is an opportunity to deepen our practice, and will be held online 5/9 10am-2pm.

24 CEUs are available for Mental Health Professionals ($65).

We are committed to making the class accessible. Please pick the level of payment you can afford right now - Full fee of $250, or Funded fee of $100. (Original fee is $370)

The class will be led by Lesley Huff, PsyD, a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Teacher in Mindful Self-Compassion.
