Creating a Living Shoreline Conceptual Design

How do you get from an idea to a fully engineered design for a living shoreline project?  Identifying a site that may benefit from a living shoreline is just the 1st step in project design. While an engineering design will be needed eventually, for many communities it is cost prohibitive to jump to this technical next step.

This webinar will guide you through the process of doing an onsite assessment before paying for an engineering design.

Agenda

  • Webinar Introductions - Lisa Auermuller, JC NERR
  • Conceptual Design Step in Project Design: Context and Overview - John Truscinski, TNC
  • Engineering Guidelines - Jon Miller, Stevens Institute
  • Ecological Parameters - Joshua Moody, Partnership for the Delaware Estuary
  • Questions and Answers
