Mackintosh Academy 40th Anniversary

Fall Festival Open House 

40 YEARS! That's right - Mackintosh Academy, Colorado's "oldest school of minds," is celebrating its 40th anniversary! We're hosting a fall festival/open house to celebrate! We invite all our students, parents, alums, alum families, past staff and community members to join us for games, food, music and fun. We promise this is going to be a GREAT time for the whole family!

This is an open house style event, so stop by any time. Here's the schedule of activities:

4-5 pm:

• Grab a snack: Popcorn, apple cider and a MACKaroni and cheese tasting bar!
• Plant 40 bulbs for our 40th!
• Enjoy lawn games
• Take a student-led campus tour
• Visit the hydroponic greenhouse
• View the Giant Mars Map
• Pet some donkeys (did you know there used to be a donkey on our campus?!)

5:00-5:30 pm

• Alumni musical performance featuring Stirling Rutty, '09, Colorado College student, musician and vocalist

5:30 - 6:00 pm 

• Birthday celebration program! 
• A few words from our Head of School, Diane Dunne
• Honoring our special guests from the Mackintosh Family
• Blow out the candles and sing Happy Birthday to Mack!

 

6:00 - 7:00 pm

• Enjoy handmade mini apple pies
• Get groovy at our 1977 DANCE PARTY!
• Games, greenhouse visit and Mars map viewing continue!

(A note on parking: Our lot is quite small, so if it is full you may park at St. Mary's church at 6833 S Prince St., in the SE corner, and enjoy the short walk to campus or ride our complimentary shuttle.)
