Did you know that according to the Commission on the Theft of American Intellectual Property, American businesses lost as much as $600 billion in 2017 due to counterfeit goods and software piracy?

This StopFakes Roadshow delivers information about intellectual property with an emphasis on what small- and medium-sized businesses, minority-owned businesses, and new exporters need to know. The focus is both on domestic and international protection and enforcement. Topics include:

  • The basics of Intellectual Property Rights
  • Recording a Copyright or Trademark with U.S. Customs
  • How to Report IP Violations
  • Proptecting your Business from Trade Secret Theft
  • Protecting your IP in Export Markets and on e-Commerce Sites

On-site trademark/copyright recordation is made available by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Roadshow staff will guide the business owner through the online recordation process. Request this assistance at time of registration. Available on a first-to-register basis.
