Hello, Chromosome 18 Family Members! The countdown is on to the 2016 Chromosome 18 Annual Family Conference, to be held July 10-13th at the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk! Below are details that we currently have available. Please keep an eye on this page and our website for more information. The San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk will be the home to our conference this year. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, offering sweeping balcony views of San Antonio's fabulous River Walk district. If you wish to extend your stay, the hotel is honoring our special group rate of $179/ night from July 6th- 14th. If you haven't already booked your room, you may do so here. Continental breakfasts are provided each day of the conference, Monday-Wednesday. Dinner will provided at the Family Dinner and Dance on Wednesday evening. Additional meals will be on your own. The hotel offers a full service restaurant and Starbucks on location. The location also offers many local restaurants that are within walking distance. Conference fees as of June 21, 2016:
Your registration fee includes the group meals offered as specified, the facility for our sessions, childcare and related supplies, printed materials, and speaker costs. Conference check-in is from 3:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. on Sunday, July 10, 2016. The conference will conclude with the Family Dinner and Dance from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 13th. Registration has been extended! New deadline is June 20, 2016 at midnight and the stipend will no longer be offered. The stipend is included in the prices listed. Additional details can be found in the FAQ section at the bottom of this page. Please note: Those wishing to attend the conference after registration closes must call the office at 210-657-4968 and be registered manually. The full price of $250/person will apply to all persons wishing to register after June 20, 2016.
Registration can be completed using PayPal, Check, or Credit Card (Processed Through PayPal in the registration portal).
Payment from outside agency: We are happy to accept payment of conference fees from funding sources such as non-profit or government grants. All funds must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the conference. Conference attendees must register for the conference prior to the close of registration. Any unpaid registration fees are the responsibility of the attendee and must be paid prior to the start of the conference. We are unable to accept funds or issue refunds or reimbursements after the start of the conference.
Cancellation policy: Refunds for conference fees paid to the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society cannot be issued less than 30 days prior to the start of the conference. Please contact the office should you have any questions regarding this policy.

Rooms at the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk are now available to reserve. The Marriott has given us a reduced rate of $179.00 per night. Click here to book your reservations online. You may also reserve your room by calling 800.662.3056. If you have any special needs or requests, it is suggested that you call to make your reservation. Please be sure to mention that you are with The Chromosome 18 Conference in order to receive the discount. Families often comment that staying in the same hotel as the conference, and with the other families, is critical for the full "Conference Experience". Please reserve your accommodations early. Once the Registry's block of rooms are fully booked, our members are not guaranteed a room in this hotel. Your reservation is your responsibility. First come, first served! The hotel is approximately 20 minutes from the San Antonio International Airport. Please be aware that this hotel does not provide shuttle service to and from the airport.

We are excited that this year's conference will have a wide range of speakers and topics. There is definitely something for everyone! Our schedule is not final and is subject to change. We will keep you updated.

Childcare
Corporate Kids (CK) will be providing the childcare for this year's conference. In addition, we will be offering program tracks for Self-Advocates, Siblings, and a new initiative, Self-Advocates in Training for Teens and Tweens. We will have a lounge and hang-out space for kids in each of these groups. It will be a place where the kids can sign themselves in and out (with their parent's permission).
Schedules will be available for CK childcare activities closer to the date of the conference!
