Family Fundamentals is a comprehensive training course for parents to learn strategies that will improve their child’s communication, socialization, and/or behavior. The class includes both lecture-based discussions about teaching techniques as well as individual coaching sessions to focus on implementing practical strategies.
Parents whose children are any age may participate. The class is highly beneficial for newly diagnosed families, as well as families who may be further along in their journey but looking for additional strategies to improve their child's commuinication or challenging behaviors.
AZA United believes in a family-centered approach to services where parents and professionals work together to develop effective plans to help their children. Parent training is the primary focus of this class. Parents are trained to implement specific strategies, allowed ample time to practice implementation, and receive direct in-the-moment feedback.
The cost to participate in Family Fundamentals is $500 per family. Families needing financial assistance may apply for AZA United's Family Scholarship Fund. To complete a scholarship application, click here.
