The Journey to Manhood

Have you been fully initiated into manhood?  Are you seeking an alternative path to manhood fulfillment other than what’s offered by the Silicon Valley?  Have you plateaued in your spiritual growth? Do you desire to deepen your relationship with Christ? Is Christ whispering to your aching heart as you struggle with the demanding and often competing roles of husband, father, employee and man of faith?  

This is an opportunity for you to fellowship with Christian men seeking answers to similar questions as yourself.

Overview:  
For most of us men, our relationship with our earthly dads have been less than perfect and, as a result, our journey into Christian manhood has been hindered.  But hope is never lost. Come and set out on a masculine journey to discover your true, perfect Father in Heaven who desires to heal, initiate and mold you into a man like Christ!  We will venture through the six stages of masculine development as described by John Eldredge in his book, “Fathered By God”:

            Stage I: Boyhood - Am I the beloved son of the Father?

            Stage II: Cowboy - Do I have what it takes to make it in the world?

            Stage III: Warrior - Am I willing to fight a battle to defend truth, goodness, and beauty?

            Stage IV: Lover - Am I able to behold Beauty?

            Stage V: King - Whose Kingdom am I building?

            Stage VI: Sage - What do I want to be my greatest contribution?

Background:

The weekend is designed by a small brotherhood of 8 men and 6 priests who attended the 2018 “Fathered By God” program. These men are jazzed about the opportunity for other men of faith to experience the same transformational breakthroughs in their respective spiritual journey into manhood as these men just experienced!

Activities:

The weekend is relaxed and interactive, comprised of heartfelt testimonies, exchanging personal experiences, and encountering the singing of Earl Rivard, our awesome minstrel.  Additionally, we incorporate outdoor activities and a Friday and Saturday evening bonfire to promote brotherly bonding! At your leisure, you may choose quiet time for personal introspection and spiritual reflection.  Should you desire, priests will be accessible for discussion, confession, and private conversation.
