Tuesday, May 11 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Do we still believe in Purgatory? Can we pray for the dead? What are indulgences? Can souls from purgatory visit the living?

Discover the biblical foundations of purgatory and it's development in the Christian tradition.

Meet Fr. Thomas Vendetti, LC

Born in Rockville, MD, Fr. Thomas joined the novitiate of the Legion of Christ in Connecticut in 1995. Since his ordination to the priesthood in 2009, he has served in the New York Tristate area for four years as vice rector and director of development for the Legionaries’ center of philosophy in Thornwood, NY, as well as chaplain for Regnum Christi in Manhattan. From 2013 to 2016, Fr. Thomas was local director and chaplain for Regnum Christi in Chicago. He is currently serving in the Bay Area as director for Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center and chaplain for Regnum Christi.

Fr. Thomas studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome and obtained a licentiate in philosophy and bachelors in theology. He recently completed his MA in Christian Spirituality at Fordham University in NY, focusing on the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. 

 

Men's Evening of Reflection is a time to encounter God and self in a deeper way and build meaningful relationships.

Each month, men from the Bay area gather around the fire pit on the terrace of Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center and discuss dimension of masculine spirituality as reveled by Christ in the Gospel. A time to encounter God and self in a deeper way and building meaningful relationships.

This is a free event although free-will offerings are much needed and very appreciated (suggested offering $25.00). BYOB - wine is welcome!
