Steven Malin is an investment strategist and a director with Allianz Global Investors, which he joined in 2013. As a member of the US Capital Markets Research & Strategy team, he is responsible for making weekly US and global asset-allocation recommendations. Steven’s responsibilities also include analyzing global economic, financial, political and regulatory developments; and briefing institutional, retail and retirement clients. 

Before joining the firm, his roles included director of research at Wealthstream Advisors, advisor to Aronson Johnson & Ortiz, senior portfolio manager at AllianceBernstein, officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and senior economist, founder and director of the regional economics center at The Conference Board. 

Mr. Malin has a B.A. in economics from Queens College and a Ph.D. in economics from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
