Thanks to a partnership with ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation, The Episcopal Diocese of Arizona has developed a holistic nonprofit management graduate/executive level certificate program: Best Skills Best Churches. ASU has invited 6 top level, non-profit professionals to instruct each course and the Diocese has matched those with our own responders to apply the knowledge to our faith communities.

The Nonprofit Management Program is specially designed to empower faith leaders by teaching best practices in nonprofit management to strengthen and grow Christ's church. Graduates will earn a Certificate from ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation in Nonprofit Management.

Course Meetings:

We will continue to host the program via Zoom for the 2022-2023 Best Skills Best Churches cohort. Please refer to the course schedule below. Each course module will consist of a Friday evening class, from 6 pm to 9 pm, followed by a Saturday morning class, from 9 am – 12 pm.

Cost: $485 and includes all course materials.

• November 4 & 5th, 2022 – Volunteers in Service
• December 2nd & 3rd, 2022 -Legal Aspects of Governance
• January 6 & 7th, 2023 – Effective Communication & Handling Conflict
• February 3rd & 4th, 2023- Marketing and Community Presence
• March 10 & 11th, 2023 – Financial Management for Effective Service
• April 21st & 22nd, 2023 – Fundraising Aspects of Stewardship
• April 22nd, 2023 – Graduation
