How does culture play a role in explaining the various manifestations of type preferences? The world may feel flat – thanks to Google and Facebook – but cultural differences are still apparent and often magnified. You often do not even have to leave home for an international experience – they come to you!

Typology allows us to notice and appreciate the diversity of humanity. Personality Type is an important piece to explaining the human condition, but it alone cannot cover the complexity. Examining the cultural component helps enrich our goal of understanding human diversity.

Throughout the morning, we will:

  • Reflect on own cultural programming
  • Discuss a number of culture frameworks
  • Learn about research into Type and Culture connections
  • Explore how to spot type and culture in action

In the afternoon workshop, Doris will delve into Matrix Insights – an innovative software tool designed for coaches and consultants. It uses various paradigms – emotional competencies, personality type, interaction styles, and essential motivators – to help coach others of all backgrounds and also facilitate self-discovery.

We will enjoy interactive exercises and have opportunities to ask questions about personal experiences. A basic knowledge of the four preference pairs and eight functions will help everyone follow along.
